Kamagra Tablets and Jellies are a cheap, effective treatment for Male Erectile Dysfunction (E.D). Kamagra is generic Sildenafil Citrate and is produced by company Ajanta Pharma. Kamagra tablets and jelly contain the same ingredients and perform in a similar way to its more expensive counterpart Viagra produced by Plizer. It takes approximately 45 minutes for Kamagra tablets and jellies to start working and is effective for 4-6 hours.
INFORMATION ABOUT KAMAGRA:
Two chemicals are produced by the male body whilst sexually aroused - Cyclic GMP which causes the muscles in the arterial wall of the penis to relax allowing blood to flow in and phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE-5) which decreases erections. Kamagra contains an ingredient called Sildenafil. Sildenafil is a PDE-5 inhibitor. Whilst active Kamagra causes a vigorous build up of Cyclic GMP causing the penis to stay erect. It must be noted that sexual simulation is required in order for Kamagra to become effective. It is recommended that no more than one 100mg tablet is taken in any 24 hr period.
Sildenafil Citrate is the generic name of Viagra. It is also sold under different names such as Revatio. It is a drug made to treat erectile dysfunction of males commonly known as impotence and is also used to cure pulmonary arterial hypertension. Viagra was developed by Pfizer, a pharmaceutical company. The major competitors are vardenafil (Levitra) and also tadalafil (Cialis).
The History of Viagra
Viagra was first created for the sole purpose of treating high blood or what is called hypertension and also angina pectoris commonly known as a form of cardiovascular disease. It was developed by Pfizer at their research department located in England. When the drug was scheduled for testing it was found out that it had little or no effect at all in treating angina but what they observed was that it had more use as and inducer for penile erections.
As the results had shown that the drug was a good penile erection inducer it was decided that it will be marketed as a cure for erectile dysfunctions. Viagra was patented in the year 1996 and was approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a cure for erectile dysfunction on the 27th of March in the year 1998. Viagra became the very first drug to be approved for the cure of erectile dysfunctions in the U.S.A.
Sales and marketing of the drug started on the following year after the drug was approved by the FDA. Annual sales of the drug exceeded $1 billion from the year 1999 to 2001 which was considered a great triumph of Pfizer.
Albert Wood and Peter Dunn were considered by the British press as the inventors of Viagra but Pfizer disputed this claim by stating that their names were only put on the patent for convenience.
Viagra was openly advertised to the consumers, despite its being a prescription drug, especially on TV by famous people such as Senator Bob Dole and Pelé the football legend. Viagra was also sold online only by filling up a form to serve as an online consultation in order to buy the drug. The name “Viagra” became a household name to the extent that imitation and fake drugs or aphrodisiacs were labeled with the name “herbal Viagra”. Now, well known names of the drugs are “the Blue Pill”, “Miracle pill for middle aged men” and also “Vitamin V”.
How it works
The basic process of having an erection is that the parasympathetic nervous system releases nitric oxide inside the hollow caverns of the penis. The nitric oxide sticks to the enzyme guanylate cyclase’s receptors which in turn increases the cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) levels. This process causes the muscles in the penis to be smooth and relaxed which is called vasodilation in the caverns of the penis. This whole process increases the flow of blood into penis thereby producing an erection.
How much does it cost and when is it taken
Dosages of most prescription drugs are usually decided by a licensed doctor. The usual dosage of Viagra is 25mg or 100mg once a day with an interval of 30 minutes and if having sexual intercourse it should be taken 4 hours prior to that.
Usual method is to take 50mg first, and then based on the results of the sexual intercourse, the next dosage can be lowered or raised as appropriate.
Side effects
The usual and most common of side effects are headaches, dyspepsia, sneezing, photophobia, palpitations and longer time of erection. Some reports of blurred vision and other changes in vision and a bluish tinge have occurred.
Viagra being used to treat heart enlargements
Closed Published December 3rd, 2007 in Viagra ArticlesViagra is now being used to help cure enlargements of the heart that can cause high blood pressure. This was the result of various animal studies conducted using Viagra.
There are further plans to conduct a trial on a number of candidates to see if similar results of Viagra (the pill widely known to treat impotency), will occur.
Sildenafil Citrate more famously known as Viagra when tested on high blood stressed mice, reversed heart enlargement. This was claimed by Dr. David Kass’ group of researchers from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Kass stated that a person who has a heart that is larger than a normal heart is in a serious condition called hypertrophy. Hypertrophy is the most common trait of heart failure which can be very fatal.
Kass also claimed that there were results that proposed therapies that are possible in the near future like Viagra which is already considered safe and very effective for other medical ailments such as sexual dysfunction. Dr. Kass’ report on his research was published in the online magazine of Nature Medicine. This news did not surprise Dr. William B. White who is the hypertension division head at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Dr. White said that Viagra was originally created for the purpose of treating heart disease ailments and high blood pressure levels originally.
Effectiveness of the drug doesn’t last long
It was found out, however, that the effectiveness of the Viagra pill lasts a short time. Dr. White said that the Viagra needed to act longer for it to be of any use in curing heart enlargements.
As with what Dr. White said, Dr. Richard Devereux who works at the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City also confirmed that Viagra is just a little too short in acting as a cure for the enlargement of the heart in human patients. Dr. Devereux, however, stated that the Viagra as an option for treatment still produced a very important clue that must be pursued.
The results of the Viagra tests on mice might encourage a search for Viagra related compounds that will last longer to serve as a benefit to heart ailments. Dr. Devereux was not part of the research team of Dr. Kass. Dr. Kass claimed that Viagra blocked the process of PDE5A which is an enzyme. This blockage aids in the breaking down of the cyclic GMP molecule. The cGMP molecule in turn aids in the resistance of the heart in stress and enlargement.
In a certain experiment which was cited by Nature Medicine magazine, the team of Hopkins successfully cured the stress of heart pressure in certain mice. They did this by limiting the artery of the flow of blood from the heart.
In an entirely different experiment, mice that already had enlargement of the heart were given Viagra in a span of two weeks. The researchers said that the muscle growth within the heart of the mice almost nearly disappeared while in the other animals that were not administered with Viagra continued to have enlarged hearts. After the treatment of the mice, the result showed that the heart functions improved.
Viagra is considered a type 5 phosphodiesterase inhibitor. Studies of use of Viagra for women are well under way and so far still have no results on whether it can really be administered to women. But there are results that have been successful but only in a clinical environment. There are some doctors who admitted that they have been administering Viagra to women with good results.
In a Boston University research, Viagra is being tested if it can have positive effects in the restoration of female sexual pleasure. Pfizer, the makers of Viagra, are currently conducting tests in the United Kingdom. If ever these tests are successful then further tests will be conducted to have women included in the FDA protocols approval.
Although clinical tests are being currently done by Pfizer it is still too early to see the effectiveness of this drug for women or even the side effects that will rise due to taking Viagra. Testing of the effects may not be completed soon and it might take years to even see the final results and some more, if ever the drug is proven effective, to have it approved by the FDA.
Whatever the result by Pfizer’s tests, it is a proven fact that Viagra has no effect whatsoever in the libido of a woman and the much rumored that it is an orgasm pill is outright false. If positive results come out, it would really have a great effect on women as it had on men.
A lot of researchers are quite convinced that if prostate surgery and other ailments such as diabetes can cause erectile dysfunction in men, so does high blood pressure, hysterectomies and also diabetes cause sexual dysfunctions and circulatory problems on women. Thus these ailments can also cause arousal difficulty in women.
Researchers believe that Viagra can help women as in men. When the blood vessels of the male penis become full of blood it causes an erection which is also true in women when vagina’s blood vessels become full it gets properly lubricated prior to sexual intercourse. So with this fact it might be safe to assume the Viagra might be able to help a woman achieve climax during sexual intercourse.
The main difference between male’s penis and the female’s clitoris is the lowered ability of the clitoris to attain a veno-occlusive role. To put it in laymans terms, the woman’s clitoris doesn’t have the function to attain the firmness of a penis to make it a form of structure in which to penetrate. Instead, the clitoris has the ability to become inflamed to prepare it to accept penetration.
When sexual intercourse is done, a substance called nitric oxide is freed which in turn activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase which is used to increase cyclic GMP levels. When this enzyme is released it makes the muscles spongy tissue smooth and relaxed which in turn allows the inflow of blood. Final results are increased blood flow into the vagina. An interesting fact to note is that Viagra has no effect whatsoever on the tissues that are isolated from the clitoris and the vagina.
